She first experienced yoga in 1993 and soon discovered that it is much more than a physical practice. Over the years, she tried different styles, however, her main influence and inspiration came from an Indian yogi in Sydney – Acharya Upendra Roy who taught traditional authentic hatha yoga. After obtaining her yoga teaching Diploma from Acharya’s Yoga and Meditation Centre in Sydney in 2003, she started her teaching practice giving weekly classes to students of all levels and ages. Angelita has been teaching for the last 15 years.
In her classes, Angelita aims to teach students the correct technique in traditional hatha yoga. She encourages students to practise in a slow relaxed way, and with full awareness. She hopes students will grow to love yoga, gain all of its great benefits, and make it a natural part of their simple, healthy, and contented life.
